A small agency that shows its working
Next Scale Digital is based in Aurora, Ontario, and works with service businesses across Toronto and York Region. Seven active clients, nine sites shipped, and a preference for telling people what the data says rather than what they hoped it would.
Shabir Majeed
I started Next Scale Digital after several years in sales and a longer stretch building businesses directly, including an e-commerce brand and a share in a coffee shop. Those are the reason this agency is built the way it is: I have been the person on the other side of the invoice, waiting to find out whether a marketing spend did anything.
Most of what I do now is measurement and building. The measurement runs through Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Business Profile data and a paid SERP API, so client reporting is checkable rather than asserted. The building is websites, Google Ads accounts, and AI agents that handle the calls a small team cannot get to.
I have a degree in Business and Management from the University of Kent, which is less relevant to any of this than the years of running things that came after it.
Six things we hold to
Measure before proposing
Every engagement opens with numbers pulled from Google’s own tools and a paid SERP API. If the data says the plan will not work, the plan changes before you have paid for it.
Name the ceiling out loud
Some rankings are not available to a business at its current authority. An agency that knows this and sells the content plan anyway is charging you for eight months of finding out.
Free levers first
Google Business Profile, tracked phone numbers, page titles and schema cost time rather than money, and they usually move before anything you pay for does.
Publish in waves
Forty pages in one week is how a site gets ignored. Core pages, confirmed indexed, then expansion on a base that already works.
Report what pays the bills
Calls, forms and booked jobs at the top of the report. Impressions and average position exist further down, where they belong.
You own everything
Repository, domain, ad account, Business Profile, analytics. All in your name from day one. Leaving should cost you nothing but notice.
Things you will not hear from us
- A guarantee of page one, or of the map pack. Proximity is a ranking factor nobody controls.
- A percentage of ad spend as our fee. It pays us more for spending more of your money.
- Results from other clients used as a forecast for yours. Different category, different authority, different answer.
- Testimonials from people who do not exist. If a quote is on this site, a real client said it.
- A recommendation to buy a service that the numbers say will not clear break-even.
Who we work with now
Client performance data stays private unless a client asks us to publish it. The list itself is not a secret.

Start with the measurement
The free audit is the same first step every paying engagement gets. If it turns up nothing worth fixing, that is a useful answer too, and it costs you nothing to find out.
